I don't really think employees should get gifts for their employers, but since I work for a family as their nanny, and they give me wonderful gifts for every possible occasion, I get them a token gift like a book, and I always get gifts for the 2 kids for Christmas and their birthdays, plus little things whenever the mood and pocketbook are in sync!

It's kinda funny, here, as the boss's daughter usually goes around and collects money from each of the employees to give in whatever way she decides. Kind of not cool...

I haven't decided yet
that's still a ways away
last year I baked a selection of goodies and packaged it up in a festive dish
since she has college aged sons and tons of family that come to visit for the holidays, she loved it
