Hey A88smith 500, the Assistant State Secretary himself said that the Florida vote was likely wrong and his boss Harris took the Republican plunge by declaring Bush the winner early. You go give it a rest.

The same way any wartime president has, one good thing when he goes on "vacation" he goes home. he doesn't fire up AF-1 and take 100 friends on "fact finding" missions over seas. And give it a rest with that "appointed" BS, it was pr oven by several new papers including the Washington Post (hardly a conservative paper) that Bush won the election in Florida.
Oh and by the way, how many days do you think congress takes off? Give you a hint the only work 6 months a year and its not 6 continuous months

Bush doesn't work in a factory or at a fast food joint. Anywhere he is, the job goes with him (the "Red Phone" is the nearest secure phone to him for example, usually it's any phone in any room he is in). All Presidents since Roosevelt had retreats where they worked away from the White House.

He can!!
Personally I don't like the privileged class in this country and especially those that cheat in gaining office, then follow the extremist policies that our President insists on pushing America into. For the real answer to that, he is the one to ask, but don't expect an honest answer...I think working out of the White house is claustrophobic since half of that old building is a public, open museum...He has to live with the ghosts and memories of great men who are turning in their graves over the disrespect he has shown for the people and laws of this land. He has taken Cronyism to new heights wouldn't you say? And to invade another country over lies and resources(ie, OIL) is only the start of the creepy things this president has done. I also think he likes to think of himself as a cowboy of sorts like his hero John Wayne...

Are you naive enough to think he just goes down to Crawford and has no idea what is going on with the country? I'm sure you have no problem with the days wasted during the Clinton administration when he drew the countries attention to his scandalous sex-athon investigation though, right?

The same way all the others got away with it. He has the most top job in the country so he gets as much time as he wants.

He doesn't work by the hour or wages...he is paid no matter what he does.
When he is done with his term he will still get paid and have free health insurance the rest of his life.
