I was watching the Nogin channel because they show season 1 episodes and I never saw all of season 1. I noticed when Spencer was with Heidi he brought up the subject of Lauren a lot more than she did.

cuz he is jealous! i hate spencer andi dont see what heidi sees in him! he is so manipulative!! its vrazy the way he brainwashes her! Lauren is so smart.....no wonder spencer couldnt handle her....hes to stupid for his own good

I think Spencer felt threatened by Lauren because she knew he was up to no good.
Therefore,Spencer did everything in his power to make Heidi think that Lauren was just jealous.
Spencer's behavior is classic of an abuser.

1. It is probably how they edited it.
I just watched the season on MTV.com and saw the same thing.
2. I think he is abusive and was trying any way possible to alienate Heidi from her friends who would tell her what a horrible person he is.
