Have you ever thought "I will never hear this out of somebody's mouth? Well my oldest called me and said he was going to plant some mustard greens in his garden. Wanted to know when they come up would I like some. I said well sure I love them. I nearly fell outta my chair when he asked. Never would I ever imagine he would want some of those. He said well momma you may have to cook some for me and I said "well nothing hard about that". He said his wife didnt know how. Well I be dern If i cook em for him. LOL

Wight a minute, I'm 36 years old, not that old by far, but I know how to cook most any thing. I learned that from my Mother and Grandmother's a long time ago. I was all ways told that I needed to learn how to cook cause the one that I marrie may not know how to cook.
I like Turnip greens and mustard greens mixed, throw in some hog jaw or fat back salt and pepper to taste. Soooo good.

That is sweet but what you should do is teach his wife how to cook them for him. It would be a nice surprise for him to come home and have them on the table from the one he loves.

Let them learn by their own efforts or by traial-and-error method. Don't they know there are cook books & internet available?
Don't encourage laziness. Let them sweat in kitchen as they would in their bedroom!
Self-help is the best help even for married or live-together persons too as it is to the Singles!
