my husband works for a large company and a notice was posted today that for the next several weeks all employees would be required to work MANDATORY overtime can this be done legaly in a right to work state such as north carolina?

believe so any thing over 8 hrs should be time and 1/2 any thing over 40 hours should be the same

In NC the "right to work" law is always in favor of the employer and not the employee. Company policy is the key of 'big business' getting away with their often unfair practices. Let's make sure we vote for a change in our next election and write to our district respresentatives (Health Schuler) and we can always call the 211 number in NC to complain about the policies --this number is a direct link to our respresentative.
