Everything the government does effects you in some way, in my opinion, when something involves me, I have the right to know about it. A scientist in canada invented anti-gravity, and zeropoint energy, and you know something? The government stole all of his equipment, told him he couldn't move to another country, and started using his equipment and ideas to make their own things for the military. Ethical? I think not.

Of course the government isn't telling us everything. We don't need to know EVERYTHING. Some things must remain secret, for the sake of national security. Unfortunately, there are things that should not be kept secret, but are anyway.
