Hey....I resemble that remark! Actually, most of us are in our 20's and some are 40's and 50's.

The way you have framed the question and the way the answerers have framed their answers I do feel that you are all appropriately categorised under Senior Citizens Though for aught I know you may only be masqerading as oldies it seems the avta r has got you. A question is a question is a question. And especially questions from children ar e sometimes quite revealing. Even if I am actually a senior I never leave a P&S question provided I know the answer. Whether the questioner is actually a junior or a senior masquerading as one it is immaterial. As I always say Yahoo QA is a venue for communication which has sadly stopped in the modern self-centred world. As beggars cannot be choosers so are answers like us if we are really interested in communicating. As they say never look a gift horse in the mouth. Be thankful that somebody has approched you with a questioj-may be a mischevous, may be an ignorant question be thankful to him/her.In fact even if all such questioners are children it only reveals their eagerness to know more about the world. If we ar e going to look at them a childish questions the childishness is more on our part than theirs.

When I first started on Yahoo! Answers I thought that the Polls and Surveys was the best. It was so much fun for me to take the surveys or play the Avatar games. But recently it got almost insulting, like "Hey Granny, go to seniors". So I did and here I pretty much remain. I still go there and skip through the questions to see if there are any worth answering. I agree. They can't spell. I think that's because of texting on their phones. It's like shorthand. Stick around here for a good time. We like cool seniors!

They do sound like kids having a good time. I think the average age of people using YA has to be very young. I'm in my late 50's and feel like The Ancient One when I read the questions. So much anguish over "how can I tell if he likes me?" and "help with my homework" and "do you think I'm pregnant?" and the horrible spelling.
You've probably noticed that the folks in Senior Citizens don't seem to mind us asking questions that would logically fit in a different category. I think Senior Citizens appreciate being asked for an answer!

I spend some time in polls and surveys. Yes there is some silliness there, what you don't like you just scroll on past and ignore but I have some great friends over there. I post my cheeky q's in that section rather than offend any one of my own age group who may not share my sense of humour.
I've even been adopted as a cyber mom.
Remember if you laugh the world laughs with you. lol x

Yeah, pretty much the same experience. If you really want a hoot go to fashion and style (or something like that.) You'll really an idea what some of the kids are concerned about. For instance, I have learned all about the new emo/scene style....I remember when it was bell bottoms and then all that tie died stuff....now the kids are doing what looks like tie dying their hair, lol.

More often than not. And none of them no much about the government either. In my opinion. Spelling isn't there worst offense. A lot of their 'questions' are just statements with a question mark at the end of the sentence.

You really have to pick and choose these days if you want to find intelligent questions and answers. We also have kids in their 60s and 70s who can neither spell nor think. Take what you like and leave the rest is my way of thinking.

Thank you!!! Yes! I have. I thought it was just me but I`ve noticed that too. I am not a senior citizen but am soon approaching 50. I find a lot of vanity and juvenile questions. And you are so right...did they forget how to spell along the way??

I spend quite a bit of time in P&S but I answer Q's from just certain people. The reasons are as you've stated. There is a core group who are fun and entertaining, the rest are children, no matter their age.
