I love the look of this tropical flower but I live in zone 6 (Western Kentucky) and I'm not sure it is the right place for them to grow. Can they grow here?

keep it in a pot I live in San Antonio and have one outdoors for about 5 years lived through 25 degree and freezing rain it gets about 6 blooms a year

Inside in the winter, outside in the summer! Or, on a three season porch. With a little heat to keep it above freezing.
I say this because I live in Massachusetts, I work for a large East Coast garden center chain.
NOT Stupid home Depot or Lowe's, a family owned business!
Any how, because of the price of Oil , we have been cutting back on the winter heating. In Massachusetts we go between zone 6 and 4 so pretty cold!
The greenhouses are set at 55* at night and as warm as the sun gets during the day.
NO Birds have died, they just do not bloom until the summer season.
BUT, You cannot go much lower, so you cannot leave them in the ground ALL WINTER you must bring them into some shelter that is 50* or BETTER for the winter!
