Ron Paul
Whichever party line he runs on.

If the 2 parties insist on closing down the list in February
(nearly a YEAR before the inauguration!!!!),
then I think there will be a public backlash,
and a 3rd party candidate may emerge.
Despite his earlier statements not to run 3rd-party,
I think Ron Paul is the best bet for that.

FRED!

I will never vote for any of the socialist pro-amnesty dems. McCain & Rudy are pro-amnesty. Paul is a kook and can't win with 2% of the vote. The rest don't have the support either.

That really depends on who gets the nomination, doesn't it?
Until we know who is actually running in 08, how can we be sure of how we will vote? I am not a hard core anything, I vote for someone I like, party makes no difference. Something makes me think that, unless the Democrats run someone I really don't trust, I won't be voting Republican. I have had about enough of them for awhile!

Ron Paul.

He has never voted to raise taxes.
He has never voted for an unbalanced budget.
He has never voted for a federal restriction on gun ownership.
He has never voted to raise congressional pay.
He has never taken a government-paid junket.
He has never voted to increase the power of the executive branch.

He voted against the Patriot Act.
He voted against regulating the Internet.
He voted against the Iraq war.

He does not participate in the lucrative congressional pension program.
He returns a portion of his annual congressional office budget to the U.S. treasury every year (Who else would even think of doing that?).

Fred Thompson. Fred is for the war and knows the major consequences that will be faced should we just run and hide from Iraq. Fred is completely against abortion. Fred is against Gay Marriage. Fred is also all about Federalism, for those of you Ron Paul fans, you have someone else who is better and shares the Federalism view.

I will vote for whichever Democrat gets his/her party's nomination.

In spite of what the conservative radio talk jocks tell people, the Republican party is the party of the wealthy and of big business. Couple that with how the Bush Administration lied us into a war that never needed to be fought in Iraq while at the same time diluting our efforts in the necessary war in Afghanistan and one may see two of the reasons that I will vote Democrat this election.

If one needed more reason and more examples, look at the Bush Administration asking for another 190 Billion for the Iraq civil war while at the same time Bush vows to veto the child health care bill.

The Republican party really needs a wake up call. The American people are not stupid and the American people will not be fooled by deceits and half-truths. Barring something very unexpected the Democrats will trounce the Republicans in '08.

I'm voting for Ron Paul in 2008 because I think he's a good choice for our country. Although he's running as a Republican, I feel that he has the best traits of both Democrats and Republicans. He would bring the country together instead of dividing it like the current administration.

Most importantly, this guy thinks independently. He doesn't vote with the Republicans because he's a member of their party, but rather he votes on what he thinks is right for the country. He is also the number one guy to reduce the size of government and cut taxes. When you consider everything, we pay 40-45% of our income to the government. That is too socialist for my tastes.

Obama. The guy is the most inspiring politician I have seen in a long time. He doesn't have a lot of experience, but his message is strong, and I think we all need someone we could believe in right now.
