Every day, Conservatives spew more ****. Its unbelievable how blind they are. How much they hate everything. How scared they are. And I'm not saying we liberals aren't guilty of some of these things, but at least we don't set ourselves up on pedestals as perfect. How anyone could still support our President is beyond me. Can you help me understand? Its ridiculously frustrating to me.

Oh, and this isn't directed to ALL conservatives. Some of you are decent human beings.

Come on, don't just sling more mud. Since my intellect is obviously inferior to yours, why don't you explain my frustration with you?

I notice just as much vituperation from the liberals as I do from the conservatives.

Liberals are some sort of mythological creatures to them who will destroy America, poison their kids with weird idea's and will make everyone gay. They must save America. When they use liberal like that it has little to do with the political term. It's about their superstitions, nightmares and fears

The problem with conservatives isn't the everyday conservatives themselves; it's the people they listen to. Conservative leaders, in their vilification of liberals, tell so many lies about what liberals are supposed to believe, support, say, do, etc., that the everyday conservatives end up hating a fictional enemy. If what the pundits said about liberals was true, I'd be a hardcore conservative.

If liberals were so terrible, these pundits and politicians would have no reason to lie at all. They could just recite facts and let them stand for themselves. Instead they take part in character assassination and avoid speaking about actual issues. They make blanket statements that have no basis in fact. What's worse is that many of them cloak their rhetoric in a pseudo-Christian guise to act as if God is somehow on their side (even though the Bible basically tells them to pray quietly and stay out of politics).

Virtually all of the lies that are told about liberals are easily shattered with the barest attempt at rationality and reason. The facts stand for themselves, yet so much mud is slung that the facts are like gems buried under several feet of mud. The facts are there, and are obvious and clear, but unfortunately one must dig through all the crap that is spewed in order to bring them to light. When one digs a handful of it away, the pundits are expert at piling on even more crap, or more often, will distract and divert away from the digging.

In my case it's not that I support the President,it's more that I oppose 60% of what "Liberals" stand for. I believe in my country, and in all cases my country comes first,Liberals clearly do not believe this. I believe in the rights of the individual, and in all cases the rights of the individual come first, liberals clearly do not believe this no matter how many times they try to say otherwise. If someone wants to try to paint me into the corner accusing me of being some sort of Bushbot because of my stands that's fine. I would rather be viewed like that than to compromise my beliefs. That said I have many views in common with those that call themselves Liberals,it's not that we disagree all the time,it's just that we disagree on the things that are the most important. As for Bush,he's wrong so often and so hugely that it almost boggles the mind, but unlike many Libs I don't translate that into him being wrong all the time. The feeling of most libs towards Bush has truly reached the point of being delusional.

I agree...but ya gotta rattle the cage that they're locked into once in a while, too much fear, it paralyzes the mind. Every so often there is an awakening, a poor sole realizes that truth is not from a party, nor a government spokesman it's there, but under layers of shiny little half truths and utter lies, so make each policy and leader look great, never quite touching on the real issues but playing us off against each other while they and theirs rifle the treasury.

I tend to avoid this area like a disease now, because it's full of hot headed idiots on both sides that insult each other. Back and forth. I spend my time in the Sports section now. It's almost always the same questions in here. Bush this and Bush that..it gets irritating because whatever you say is lost on all the antagonism here.

No, I can't help you... after your little rant there you certainly do not have an open mind to any opposing view point. Yes.. I am conservative and I go by Mr. Perfect. Does that just frustrate you?

it's almost like they think Bush is unpopular because they haven't been as "extreme" as they should be... so they're trying to make up for it?

they get more and more extreme, until many are just talking about conspiracy theories half the time... how the UN is going to take over the world with Soros at the helm...

but somehow I think people are just kind of backing away slowly from them... partially afraid to turn their back until they get out of the room...

and I thought the 9-11 truthers were crazy...

Blind to what? That the GOP and thier conservative base value morals and ethics? That the GOP and the President singlehandedly pulled out out of the Clinton recession and gave us a stable economy? That there are terrorists that try to enter this country on a daily basis with the sole reason of killling innocent American citizens?

I am thankful for our President and the fine job he has done.

There will always be the few who will cling to the life preserver of moral righteousness to the bitter end.

They don't see themselves as drowning in a sea of filth. Keeping archaic beliefs afloat is the goal that shines brighter than taking breath, and keeping their own moral head above water.
