That thing is mystical, enchanting, and marginally dangerous. I research, analyze, and document conclusions to intensely titillating legal queries like “does our American subsidiary need to file a corporate income tax return in California based on the blah blah blah blah blah.” This means that, in order to maintain some semblance of mental/emotional balance (and therefore sanity), I am forced to engage in downtime activities of a slightly different nature.
Thus, I build durable rock cities with frolicsome wood nymphs and mischievous gnomes. We love our supplementary work and often hold hands and gaily dance through magical hinterlands. Sometimes we play red-rover; other times we revel in “hot-pun” (like hot potato, but involving a rapid exchange of puns). In other words, I enjoy writing utter nonsense; it amuses my soul.
That is my thing and how I enjoy it everyday.

My "thing" is ice cream and I enjoy it while sitting in front of my monitor. I like vanilla ice cream with concord grape sauce drizzled on top. And I want it in my Darth Vader bowl.
