It is so they can efficiently kill Palestinians
Imagine if the Palestinians where armed as well
Is it any reason why people of that region of the world...
don't like us (or understand us). Why do the Israels treat those around them...like the Nazis treated them?

I would much rather supply friends that were and still are sympathetic to our issues with terrorism than give weapons to a group of people that openly celebrated 9-11. I will always remember the images of Palestinians dancing in the streets and chanting with exuberance. To answer your question directly, as with any man made item, they age and need new technology to stay ahead of emerging threats. And contrary to some opinions, they work hand in hand with the United States in developing new weaponry (arrow anti missile program). Despite the propaganda, Israel isn't a charity case that can't make a move w/o the U.S.

Its simple: Israel is one of our only dependable allies in a primarily Islamic region of the world where the USA is pretty much despised. The alliance provides important strategic positioning for the US in the EuroAsian peninsula and a second military that will defend the USA based on an alliance Israel and the US have.

I believe it stems from a treaty the United states signed to protect Israel in exchange for the Israeli Government to reach a peace accord with the Palestinians to end the Arab- Israeli war. Jewish settlers who had occupied the land set aside for the Palestinian Homeland disrupted the accord reached by the two sides. Some radical, extremist Palestinians and militants brainwashed by influential and cash rich Muslim Clerics decided the only way to deal with the discord was through terrorist attacks. The acts of terrorism are not supported by the Koran and the Israeli response was to thwart more deadly, cowardly acts by militant Arab mercenaries willing to die for their beliefs.even though they were misled by power hungry. radical Muslim Clerics. Ha-mas and terrorist groups on both sides are to blame and Arafat failed to reign in the militants. The Israeli Prime Minister was also too head strong to work towards peace because of the constant barrage of bombings and belief that military might was the only solution.

I think your facts are a little twisted and, one way but, I'm not going to argue with you. Instead of telling you, you explain to me, why they should have these articles of war, to protect themselves from the Palestinians rockets, they keep shooting into the civilian Israel neighbor hoods or, are you going to ignore that question? maybe if the Palestinians would learn to live in peace, something they started in 1947 with the pact they made with Adolph Hitler to kill all the Jews, and learned to live-in peace, then maybe they wouldn't have to have all these machines of war and, instead could look to a future of education and farming, etc.
You have forgotten one important thing here. It wasn't the Jews that went after the Palestinians, they only fought back.

That's not the whole reason. Apparently we also want to destabilize one of the few other pro-Western democracies in the region: Lebanon. How else can you explain supplying cluster bombs to the IDF so all of south Lebanon can be booby-trapped by unexploded little bombs? I would say we do this because we hate Muslims, but a third of the population of Lebanon is Christian.

No idea. We should be trying to get weapons OUT of the Middle East, not in.

This is out of the hands of politicians and in the hands of praying people. God is bringing the Israelis home and intends to defend them. The promise to Abraham was"He who blesses you I will bless, he who curses you I will curse." I refer you to Ezekial chapters 36-39 for additional answers. Also Zechariah chapters 12-14. There is much, much more but I will keep this brief.

You're off base. We need Israel as a deterrent to Iraq and Iran to say the least.
