yes. Thought a lot of cliches. After all the violence the happy ending in the epilogue was artificial like anything. Didn't fit at all. And by far not enough humor in the book. The ones I like best have humor relieving the darker strands. I think it's the weakest of the lot, guess the author lost interest/inspiration.

Yes a lot of things disappointed me. I thought it was too carelessly violent for very young readers - I know 8 year olds that read it, and I think it was too disturbing for young readers, with all the torture etc. I thought it was terrible that 50 children died in battle and we didn't even get to know who they WERE, except for Colin.

We never got to find out what happened to the Durseleys, even though they were major characters from the very start. They were just thrown aside as they had served their purpose - in fact, the book itself was as careless with human life as Voldemort!

The epilogue didn't really answer any questions or help the story in any way - Rowling said she would tell us what happened to all the survivors, but we barely learned anything at all.

a ingredient of me felt like there could be greater...yet thats through fact HP grew to become this great area of my existence and that i remember waiting eagerly for each e book to come again out. To study the final very final one didnt supply me the quantity of closure i assumed it could. The epilogue didnt study an identical through fact something of the e book. i replaced into confident it replaced into some form of fan fiction and located myself disapointed at the way it replaced into written. yet in spite of the shown fact that i assumed the writing replaced into off I did like the scene very a lot. i replaced into chuffed that Harry have been given some normalcy on the very end and to discover his very own relatives- it ended on the type of hopeful word for me. I havent been in a position to re-study it as a lot through fact the different books. Everytime i'm getting to Hedwig's death I start up crying and discover myself no longer able to proceed.

I liked it up until the epilogue. That killed it for me; it looks like something written by an 11-year-old on fanfiction.net rather than a proper ending to the series. I expected much better from the author.

Nope. I loved it. Thought it was a tremendously satisfying conclusion to the series. Best part? The epilogue. What a way to say goodbye ... Maybe in a couple decades we'll get another series about the next generation.

I liked it but the epilogue was waaaaaay too cheesy. Having an epilogue was definitely nice but she could have done it in a better way.

yep, felt like the book was hard to write for author, like she just wanted it over with. It wasn't a page turner. It's been downhill since order of phoenix

I was sad to see the series end, but was glad that Harry didn't die. It will be interesting to see what J.K. Rowling will write next.
