Good politicians have always known that ordinary people are quite selective about what they notice, because fact is always trumped by packaging.

Any politician who plays the 9/11 card as much as Bush has, is almost guaranteed immunity from suspicion. Rudy knows this too, his shtick a teflon suit amid popular WTC conspiracy theories.

What isn't said is just as important.

The decision was made long ago to keep Bin Laden on the back burner, possibly for the reasons you cite, stirring every now and then with respect to the public attention span, lest we forget Islamic fundamentalism was to blame and not a bunch of nice-guy neighbors who one day decided to crash some jets. We do have do stay focused.

Obama, on the other hand, reminds us subconsciously at every mention of his name, a virtual gift to his detractors.

Most people don't think Obama sounding like Osama is just an unlucky coincidence. And Bin Laden seems to have come from a pretty big family... the only people concerned with that are Michael Moore-heads.

Did you know that the Bin ladin family DISOWNED Osama a very long time ago? That any company doing business in Saudi has contact with the Bin Ladins, they are a very big constrution firm and guess what even people like John Kerry has contact with them. His wife's firm does business with them.
And why should Bush be concerned about osama, it was very clear that even after the 93 WTC attack and several others the Democrats were completely unconcerned with Osama.

The scary thing is...people will vote based on something as stupid as "Osama sounds like Obama, so he's bad."

Not that I am...or am not going to vote for Obama if he is the next contender...I haven't decided, but I know that people DO decide who to support, based on the most ridiculous things...and overlook the important ones. Just look how many fundies voted for Bush without looking at the big picture! All he had to do was say God spoke to him, and that he was a Christian.

This is all silly... (Obama - Osama Bush not worried about OBL)

OBL is a small fry in the big picture.

Have you heard about the Holy Land foundation trial in Dallas? The Muslim Brotherhood and the interrelations with CAIR? The Project?

How does having name that rhymes with a bad person make someone bad? Your logic is terribly flaud with no empirical evidence.
