It's only 1 dvd in a slim jewel case...
In thinking USPS but what kind of package, envelope, and stamps do I need? Also do I need to go to the post office?

Information would be helpful.

You can mail it first class in a bubble envelope, that's what I do. It should cost you less than $2 to mail it. You probably will need to go to the post office to have them weigh it and apply postage unless you know the exact weight and have the right amount of postage.

No more than $1.50 in postage, first class does it.

Any paper packaging that fits.

Media mail is cheaper but takes too long to wait for delivery.

You don't need to go to the post office IF ,
1. You've placed exceeded amounts of postage
2. You're not getting any tracking service
In which case, hand it to the mailman, otherwise they only pickup if you send Priority Mail (starts @$4)

Now on a serious note here?? How about carrier pigeon.. Just give it good instructions as to where it's to be delivered..LOL..
Sorry couldn't resist..
If you are going to go with bubble wrap just make sure you wrap a layer of bubble wrap around the case itself and it will more that like get crushed in that first layer.. Ask me how I know?? Experience. :(
