Have fun!! Get your hair done! Get the nails done! Pack!
The night before, celebrate with a meal of your choice and shave. Be sure to shave! You won't have the energy to shave for about a week, if not more.
Grab some magazines because you'll be waiting for everything to kick in for about an hour. You'll probably go thorugh 1-2 bags of IV fluid before they take you in.
The best thing--just relax! Yes, you're going to get an IV and it won't be fun. Yes, you're going to get an epidural and it won't be fun. Yes you'll probably have a cathedar put in before surgery, but it doesn't hurt.
We just hard our scheduled c-section 3 weeks ago and compared to my first, it was easy! Talk about nostress--they'll put the doppler on you for about an hour.
AND don't be afraid to ask for more drugs if you need it! Remember to catch the pain before it gets bad.

I remember how I felt and I got NO sleep. My husband and I got a total of 2 hours of sleep the night before. To calm myself down I looked up a video of a c-section on the internet so that I would know exactly what to expect but if that's not going to make you feel better I would suggest not being alone because that's when you start thiking too much. Just keep someone with you as much as possible because it all sank in really hard for me the first time I was alone (2 hours before).

Don't worry - I know so many people who have had c-sections and all were pleasantly surprised by how easy and painless it was - and how easy the recovery was. It's such a common procedure these days that you really shouldn't waste time stressing about it. Instead get lots of rest so you'll be in good shape to look after your baby - It's exhausting - I'm 3 weeks in and I haven't slept more than 3 hours in a row!

Isnt much you can do to calm your nerves. You shouldnt be too nervous about the c-section. My mother had 3 of them and she said it really isnt that bad. You dont feel anything but some pressure when they take the baby out. So try to relax and think you'll see your baby very soon. Motherhood and the birth experience is great. Good luck =>

Relax, have some tea, have one last romantic dinner with your partner...it will be the last for a while. I had to have an emergency c-section so I didn't have time to do any of those things. Congrats on the baby and good luck.

Keep your mind busy and don't stress, you might put yourself into labour. That's what I nearly did before my C-section date. Try activities that don't make you think about the bub or the procedure. You will be OK best of luck!

When I was in the last stage of pregnancy, I spent time getting rest and watching baby movies. I also used the time to bond with my baby while it was just me and her by enjoying every little kick and letting her listen to music and talking to her.

Relax. And realize that before you know it, you'll have your precious little cargo -- which will make what pain you do have worth it all.
Sleep. Sleep. Sleep. Sleep.
Goodluck! and congratulations!
