In general, you can get a license for just about anything with a misdemeanor if it can be explained. For example, if it was a stupid mistake as a kid 25 years ago, or if the charge was something entirely unrelated to what you are trying to do. If it was a recent assault, or a recent burglary, or a recent minor drug charge, the consequences could be much more limiting.

This depends on the location in which you are trying to get licensed and what the misdemeanour was related to. For the US nursing licensing is connected to state boards.

yes you can it just depends on the crime, its a list out there somewhere that has all the crimes that you cant get hired for participating in. im sorry I dont have all the info, but its a start

If in the UK - depends if and what shows up on your CRB (criminal records bureau) check. That might affect what jobs you can get.
