May God be with you both.

Just be a steady rock for her to lean on. When she realizes you are there for her for the duration, as you vowed on your wedding day, she will love you all the more for it.

A year ago my husband was diagnosed with bacterial endocarditis (caused by the direct invasion of bacteria and leading to deformity and destruction of the valve leaflets). He had to have 6 weeks of IV antibiotics. I was trained to give this to him at home through a PICC line. It was caught in enough time that no major damage was done to his heart. He had the same feelings at first, that your wife is having now, that I would not want anything to do with him. It was my duty to stay with him "for better, for worse," and he knows now I meant my vows.
