The White mountains in NH, Green mountains in VT, Berkshires in MA are part of the trail.

Is this a serious question? The Appalacian Mountains are a part of the Appalacian trail. It is the range of mountains. The smoky mountains are a small piece of the Appalacians, however they arent a full range. The Rockies are all the way on the other side of the country. What are they teaching in school these days?
