No at least not now

it seems that rex has not learned much on the sidelines during his 1st few seasons, so now they better go back to the basics .

playing brian griese is to save the season because leaving grossman on the field will do no good for both the team and rex

surely enough i dont believe the bears will even reach the super-bowl this year, so its a good time for rex to correct his mistakes. He's just like JP losman right now, but the bills dont have a decent backup QB to start thats why they're keeping him on the field
and if this season turns out to be a disaster, they could also try to upgrade theposition on the offseason -draft -free agency

and like others have said, its not worth it to sacrifice 53 man to please 1

Why? He is a third year first round pick that failed. Okay they went to a super bowl but Grossman was not the reason, the defense and special teams got them there, not Grossman. Griese has better numbers all around other than wins and is a stable and consistant quarterback. The Bears need stability and consistency to have a chance.

He has to start. If you throw in B.G now, you can destroy an barley hopeful season. Still a hopeful one. I'm in Texas and a cowboys fan. When Parcells decided to start Romo instead of Bleadsoe last mid season, he knew Romo was ready. That's the problem with Rex. They put a huge weight on his shoulders and he's failing. He's not mature enough and doesn't make the right decisions. That's not completely his fault though. The coaching staff has played a big part in this disaster. You just can't start a kid in a mans league. But it's to late to bench him. That'll destroy his confidence and career.

No he is way to up and down. You con not trust a QB to lead you team that can get a 112.00 QB rating one week then 0.0 the next you never know what Rex is going to show up to play. The Bears made the best move they have in 2 yrs by benching Rex

Tough one. Deciding between Brian and Rex, is like picking which kidney you want to get punched in. Griese is hardly anything to get exciting about. Even the Dolphins only gave him 1 year, before shipping him off to the Bucs. On the bright side, the Bears face Detriot this week.

I think he should start the next couple of times, and give the backup some playing time to see who is better(hey, at least he's not doing as bad as Drew Brees)

He has been given more than ample time to prove himself, lets face it he blows. The ONLY reason the Bears made it to the super bowl last year was the defense
