No, the Texas government is trying to keep the Federal Highway dollars flowing into Texas. That is why. Lots of stringent laws regarding liquor or you will lose the funds.

Yes it is strange..you can go to a grocery store and buy beer and wine until midnight..but if you want hard liquor you have until 9pm.... or go to a bar.. Just think.. That guy going into a liquor store, to buy a bottle of JD at 3am..you know something good is coming out of that.

Texas is in the Bible Belt and if the law worked so well the Bush girls would have not made the news. Any time you say no to young people, most will find away around it. The key is to give them choices and consequences and let them figure it out. You can't buy booze on voting days either until 7:oopm.

I appreciate the fact that your thinking responsible, but since you just received you new job and still will need to service the boss on occasions, it would benefit you to purchase a lunch container in which you can keep your daily requirement of liquor. That way you will be happy along with your boss, especially after your lunch break and you have your diet coke and rum buzz going. So have fun, and cheers.

Well, it wasn't that many years ago that a common (legal) sight was a pickup, a gun in a gun rack and a can of beer in the driver's hand. I even saw cops swigging beer while on duty. Maybe they got tired of the DUI accidents....Good move, Texas!
