Yes, of course. I know it is possible, because I have had friendships with male friends for years and continue to be friends with them. We go out for lunch now and then, and talk on the phone now and then, still, after 15 years of friendship. We also email each other now sometimes. I am talking about friendships with more than just one different male friend in the past 15 years.

Oh yes, men and women can be platonic friends. As an only child and female I felt closer to the boys in my class, maybe I always wanted a brother, lol. I am now in my 40's and I still have a lot of those same male friends and it never went any farther then friends. My husband knows I have male friends and doesn't worry about it, he knows I love only him.

Yes. But I should warn you that sometimes being platonic isn't always the best way to win a friendship if you know what I mean.

yes. I have quite a few male friends who I've never had any romantic connection with and with whom there's never been any romantic interest at all. I think it only becomes tricky when there has been some sort of romantic/physical relationship in the past. then, I think the guys can't handle it.

Yes they can, and anyone that says different is not of mature mind. I have many women friends, their tall, short, fat, and skinny, young and old, so their looks has nothing to do with it. We may be of an animal nature, but some of us are domesticated.

I don't really think they can. Only because with a male its more physical they become attracted and with women its more of an emotional attraction either way your screwed.
