We didn’t lie to you folks! We told you we had living, breathing, polyurethane foams! You laughed at them. Shuddered at them. But for the accident of birth, you would be even as they are! They did not ask to be brought into the world, but into the world they came. Their code is a law unto themselves: offend one and you offend them all.
Now folks, if you’ll kindly step this way, you are about to see the MOST amazingly comfortable cushion, the MOST ASTOUNDINGLY plush paillasse. Ladies and gentlemen, the mattress before your very eyes was once a beautiful woman!!

This comes directly from the fact that my husband used to work for a small family-owned business where one of the employees was nicknamed "mattress back", and was called that to her face. She was not part of the family, just an employee, but was legend for having bedded every single guy in the company, and at least part of the married ones. She was a little too dim to see that it wasn't a compliment.
Mattress, slightly used. Girl included. Mattress is of good quality. Girl is not. $50, or best offer.
(That's what I would run in the want ad section of the newpaper.)
