To add usb ports buy a PCI to USB 2.0 card, $10.
Buy one rated 5 stars with a lot of reviews
Make sure it supports whatever version of Windows you are using.

You have a pretty old pc. However, there are USB pci cards you can add to desk top pcs. These install much like a modem or network card installs. You need a driver for it so make sure the device supports your operating system. I suspect you have Windows 95 and it may not be supported from a driver standpoint.

Below is a link to one supplier but it does NOT work with Win 95.

an adapter would cost almost as much as a new printer.

If you have another computer on your home network, you could install the printer on it, and share it on the network.
