Truth exists or does not exist independently of how many people believe something to be true. The truth is we don't know what truth is; we might clarify this with the following quotation: "to what extent do we both believe what we see, as well as see what we believe; how far does it go?"(Laing)

I don't think it is a universal truth rather an accepted truth. Someone mentioned the flat earth or the earth as center of the universe, etc. When enough people repeat an opinion it takes on a life of its own regardless of its truthfulness. This where the term 'common knowledge' possible originates.

Zero. Someone's opinion can be the truth, but truth exists independently of what anyone believes. Truth can not be created from opinion, nor does believing something to be true necessarily make it so. The best you can do is say that you believe something to be true based on certain reasons such as logic and/or evidence.

A retired General once told me, that if you tell a lie long enough it becomes truth. Theres no escaping it, if someone decides to tell a lie about someone and it spreads to enough people, soon they all believe it and there you are. It becomes truth to them. So lesson here, be careful what you believe. It could be a lie

Are you implying that Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11?

Yes, there is far more opinion that is presented as fact...and most people seem quite oblivious to it... I would say if you can convince 2 or 3 people, you're on your way to creating fact by opinion...

I give more value to the quality of the people with that opinion and the methods used to acquire those same opinions!

No more than one. Truth happens to individuals. If everyone knows it, that's enough of a proof it's not true.

Just because someone doesn't agree with your opinion doesn't mean it's not true to you....so 1.
