If I'm gonna drive on the road, then I think a motor scooter would be the most dangerous. There's not enough power to get out of the way. Not enough power to keep up with traffic. I don't think you have to wear a helmet here with a scooter, so that's a plus or a negative, depending on your point of view. However I also don't think a license is necessary, so that's on the negative side. No training necessary, just money. While that seems to be true with most things these days, it still isn't right or safe.

I've ridden both, and I think there are a couple things to think about. A motorcylce often goes on the freeway, higher speeds, etc. A scooter, on the other hand, less likely. On the other hand, a motorcylce has the power to get you out of a situation more easily than a scoot, and as many people said - small wheels = bad. Many new scoots (like the Kymco People) have increased their wheel size from the 10" of a vintage Vespa to a 16", greatly reducing that issue.
If you are thinking of a vintage scoot, they tend to have heat seizures more than motorcycles. But more than anything, it's the rider - not the bike. Ride either responsibly and you'll be fine.

Depends in a large part on the size, look at Suzuki's biggest scooter, plenty big enough to get a careless rider in trouble, with an automatic you can easily lose track of your speed if you're not paying attention. On the other hand, motorcycles have even larger engines, and less weight, so one can easily get a bike too big for themselves.
A question like this doesn't have a real answer, there's too many variables.

It depends. If the amount of power and weight are equal, the motorcycle has the safety advantage. Its larger wheels give it more stability, and having your knees against the gas tank helps you lean with it.
But the power and weight often aren't equal. A very heavy bike is harder to hold upright at an intersection and more likely that you'll dump it. And high powered sport bikes often pack way more power (and way more tendancy to get the rider in over his head) than scooters.
You can find dangers in each. I'd rather have on my full set of gear when I'm riding either one.

It all comes down to how you ride it, and (very importantly), what protective clothing you wear. Given that scooters are less "hardcore" that motorcycles, it is more common to see people wearing regular street clothes on them = not a good idea. Falling off and crashing will hurt equally on either, but if you are wearing the right helmet/boots/gloves and strong clothing you will fare much better (and lose less skin!) Dress safe, ride safe, live longer. Simple

Both bikes are perfectly safe when parked on your drive. They are both also perfectly safe in the hands of a rider with common sense.
Riders are dangerous, not machines.

I think scooter is more dangerous than motorcycle because its wheel is small, difficult to stop, especially when it rains, and hard to go through the holes on the road.

Motorscooter-the small wheels transmit every bump to the rider and there are no pegs to keep the rider's feet secure.

Those of us that have done emergency/trauma health care have long called motorcycles "donorcycles". Higher speed = higer impact ratios = increased risk of injury and increased risk of serious and grave injuries.
I don't like motorscycles or scooters, but if I had to choose it would be the scooter.

neither, both are good bikes for a good rider, the only danger is a bad driver on a good bike.
