20% of $48 = $9.60
so 20% off of $48 gives $48 - $9.6 = $38.40
28 + 3 (24/8) - (4 x 7) + 2 = 28 + 3.3 - 28 + 2 = 9 + 2 = 11
11 to the fourth power is 14,641
whilst 28 + 3 (24/8) - (4 x 7) + 2^4 = 28 + 9 - 28 + 16 = 25

20% = 1/5
48/5 = 9 3/5 or 9.6
20% OF $48.00 = $9.60
But 20% OFF of $48.00 = $38.40
2 to the 4th power is 2x2x2x2= 16
28 + 3(24/8) - (4 x 7) + 16
28 + 3(3) - 28 + 16
9 + 16
25
or
5 to the power 2

i`ll help you with the percent question since no one seemed to know the easiest and most direct solution. The easiest way to solve a discount problem is by using the following concept: If your asked to find a% off of a price "x" just compute 100%-a% then multiply that by "x". In short notation discount price = (100%-a%)*x. Easy. To illustrate this formula i`ll show you how to solve your problem. In this case you would do the following operation: 100% - 20% = 80%. Now to use that 80% you need to move the decimal two places to the left which gives "0.8". Finally you would multiply 0.8*48 which equals $38.4, the discount price.

48/100 =0.48
therefor 0.48=1%
20%=1%*20=0.48*20=9.6
28 + 3*(28/4) - (4 x 7) + 2^4
28/4=7
7*3=21
4*7=28
2^4=2*2*2*2=4*4=16
so:
28+21-28+16=21+16=37

Just multiply 20 by 48. That amount is the amount off of $48. I don't know algebra well so I can't help with the other question.

percent- move the decimal 2 places 2 the right, so 2% would be .02, 20% would be .2 and 100% would be 1.0
ok, now you want to find 20%/$48, imagine that in fraction form, so now you have to multiply .2 by 48
48x .2= you answer
and the second one is easy, please do simple order of operations
