Can You State Reasons on How The United States is Ascending?

For a short paragraph 50 words or less i need to choose if the the United States is ascending or declining. I chose that the United states is ascending due to technology, education, and healthcare.

Can you tell me anymore ways the united states is ascending?

lol i can't call him. we were going over it in class. for decline the class came up with trade, global warming, war, economice collapse, biological war, and oil collapse. those are like how we can decline.

For ascendancy we came up with technology, personal freedom, awarness or finding solutions to problems that may cause decline, education, advances in medical fileds,

I wouldn't say that. United state is declining. United states ranked low in education. United states has one of the higher high school drop out rate. Students do poor in Math and in English. Most of the high paid jobs are held by foreign students. Computer companies have more foreign people employed than Americans.
Technology wise, Japan and Europe, and even China and India are ahead of us.

That is pretty wide open. Room for a lot of gray area. If you talk about the economy then declining. If you talk about, I don't know religion, then ascending probably. If you talk technology I'm sure we are up there, but I don't think we at the top. I'm trying to think of some areas where we (or I should say the U.S., since your not all Yanks), would be ascending. It is leader in red necks. Lets see what else? I mean the military is good, but China's quantity would make the U.S. look like a speck. I'd ask your teacher to be more specific. Call him/her at home and ask, because that does not seem specific enough. Then you'll have an advantage or everyone else. I'm serious, make the call. You won't regret it. You'll make huge brownie points. Just do it before bedtime. Let us know how it turns out.

i thing we are declining all the technology comes from other countrys GM is broke we are loosing the war we dont have a lot of recourses left well we do have a lot of food but thats pretty much it theres more and more ppl going bankrupt theres still lot of gangs organaized crime theres still racism with the jena 6 and the imagration hahaha theres a lot of things

Diversity of production. We are very close to being able to exist without a lot of importing from other countries. We import some things because we want them, not because we need them.
