As an being from another world (or so i feel sometimes) I would like to know what you think makes you human and do you beleave in beings from other worlds,and if so what would they be like and what would they make of us.......
Remember before you answer,, there used to be big monsters the size of house's called dinosars that roamed the earth ... so what is coming after we have gone ??????

The fact that I have 46 chromosomes and an IQ of 140 something is what makes me human. Yes, of course there are beings from other worlds. They are short, orange, and shaped like bananas. They would think we are really cool. Yes, I remember that there were a such thing called dinosaurs. After we are gone, the banana people will come and take over our world.

I really don't give a rats αss other than as an intellectual exercize.
Cockroaches are a pretty good design (they've been around for about 600 million years), maybe they'll be the next ones to experiment with this 'intelligence' business.

The universe is infinite, so to think that we are the only ones in it is....well, for lack of a better word, silly. If God created the earth and heavens and us, what makes us think that in his infinite wisdom (or sense of humor) that he wouldn't create something other than our planet and beings? If you are a subscriber to the "Big BangTheory", than why wouln't there be other lifeforms out there somewhere wondering the same thing, or watching us and wondering what the heck we have done to our planet. Or maybe they are not as smart as they think they are. Have you seen "War of the Worlds"? Gives you something to think about.
As for what is coming after us? Only God knows. (But them pesky cockroaches have survived everything thrown at them yet!)

Humanity cannot be an oxymoron.
Anyway in answer to your question, humans are still very primitive. They are ruled by hormones and primitive instincts and what's worse, the vast majority doesn't even realize it.
Whatever comes next will probably (hopefully) be more evolved.

Humanity is an oxymoron if ever I heard one, however, I would not bother too much about dinosaurs, they were the product of a hot period in our development. The next great survivors will either be from the cockroach family or the scorpions.

An interesting question, indeed...
As incredibly pretty as our planet may appear from a distance, once an alien civilization actually contacted us, they would fly as quickly as possible... Still in search of an 'intelligent' civilization.
Once they clapped their 'ocular' and 'aurcial' sensors on us, I'd be willing to bet that they'd be screamin' right back from whence they came.

I am human because I resemble to all practical purposes all the other humans.
The next lifeform to take over are already here.
The E.coli, Flu and MRSA type viruses which look like they will eventually wipe us out.
