take how long we've been using radio signals, and add the word light years. thats how far. so over a hundred light years. so it wouldve reached the nearest star a long time ago, the nearest earth like planet, several important things.

I heard recently that the signals had reached the nearest star like our sun, Alpha Centuri & if theres life out there what kind of impression will it give of us?

Since we've been creating coherent electromagnetic radiation for a bit over a hundred years, those signals have travelled a bit over 100 light years.
