Of the ones currently running I would rule out a few. First Ron Paul is a nutcase as is Dennis Kucinich. Second Rudy Giuliani only had a few days of glory and even those are questionable. He is hated by the FDNY. Normally I would discount Obama because of his lack of experience but he learns fast and seems to be getting some things right that some of the more experienced politicians miss. On the GOP side I would seriously consider Thompson or Romney and on the Dem side I like Biden or Obama. Clinton is okay and will probably win but she has an awful lot of enemies for no real reason other than her husband was a cad.

I think that Rudy Giuliani would be the best president, considering the circumstances this country faces at this point in time.
I would expect for him to continue to fight terrorism, tighten control over our borders, and keep the tax cuts in effect. He is a proven executive with a record of being tough on crime. While his social views are off-putting for some, they don't bother me in the least.
John Edwards is not qualified by any stretch of the imagination. How can he be expected to reform health care if trial lawyers such as he that are part of the reason health care costs are so inflated, with medical malpractice insurance causing some doctors to stop specializing in certain areas? Women unnecessarily have C-sections every day because of lawyers like him. He rails on about poverty, but was heavily invested in a company that was foreclosing on default home loans in New Orleans. He says we should be concerned about "global warming", yet has no qualms in consuming vast amounts of energy riding in private jets and living in 28,000 square foot homes.
I hope you make a wise choice.

Ron Paul. He is the only honest candidate out there. He consistently votes for reducing the scope of government in our lives and giving us a chance to return an America in which we can live in peace and freedom and not have the government constantly interfering in our day to day lives. A vote for freedom and less regulations and government agencies benefits us all, no matter where we stand in life.

me, of course! unfortunately, noone would believe me.
but seriously, all you need to do is evaluate the candidates and their positions and how they relate to freedom. if they are not defending freedom, they are a bad candidate.
