Have a look at this page on my site for new actors that tells you how I got two agents and a manager in a short period of time. http://www.actingcareerstartup.com/how_to_get_an_agent.thml .
What you might want to seriously consider though is getting some training first. If you haven't taken any classes yet and are not trained, it will take an agent all of about 10 seconds to see that. That means that unless you are an extraordinary talent or have an extraordinary look, you won't go very far. Statistics say that that is probably not your case.
It all depends on whether you want to go for a long-term strategy or a quick hit and see what happens strategy. Many, who say they want to be actors do that, and then when you talk to them years later, either they are still not working much, if at all, or they are doing something completely different.
The choice is yours.
I'm the one of the most posititive people you will meet, believe it or not. I'm just telling it like it is. What you will see in the header of my site when you go to the link I suggested are the words "...Build A Base And Position Yourself For Success!"
Abraham Lincoln once said, "If I had three hours to cut down a tree, I would take the first hour to sharpen the axe."
Think about it.

Simple reply, a few do now and a few do later.... Explanation: Almost any individual with entry to designated persons in a given enterprise or within the illustration with actors, have entry to the day-to-day breakdowns, can name themselves dealers or individual managers. They can cost you a rate up entrance or on a per 30 days groundwork as some way of "offsetting the rate of advertising you". They can inform you that you simply ought to cross to a unique appearing instruct or use a unique photographer to get new headshots. About ninety five% of the time if they're insistant that you simply use best those persons they're getting a few kind of kick backtrack of it. This is the rationale why, if you are watching for a theatrical agent, you ought to discover one that's sanctioned by way of both SAG or AFTRA or each! Those unions have instructional materials in position that state that an agent would possibly best take a designated agreed upon percent after the performer has been paid. They additionally can not call for you employ a designated trainer or photographer as a groundwork for now not repping you. An agent presents a carrier to support you, and like several offerings you're going to have got to pay for it ultimately. But if you happen to part with an AFTRA/SAG agent, a minimum of you realize that fee may not be popping out of pocket. Best of good fortune!

You don't need an agent. You need training and experience and knowledge that will make you of interest to an agent. Agents are free, but they are not magicians waiting to make inexperience nobodies into stars, saying> OH Goody, you came to me so I can make you a super star!" Nope, they are business people who are busy getting their clients work and won't be interested in you until you have something they are interested in. You a lucky to be so rich. It will help in your quest to become an actress, I guess you have your parents' backing to do this. If so and you want help, read my profile and write to me at my aol address. It's free/
