Deerfield MASS from Maine...?

heading to deerfield mass. from maine next month and been looking at hotels online. Anyone have a recommended town along the way that we could go to a nice restaurant and stay the night. I am thinking about an hour from Deerfield would be fantastic.

Assuming your going I95 to I495 to Rt2? Leominster or Fitchberg would be your best bet for a town. I've driven through those towns, but never stopped. Most of the rest of the towns in that part of MA are small - kinda like Waterboro or Casco Maine.
