I was with the company for about 4 years. Last year I got promoted. At the same time I was given a new supervisor. She was the supervisor from hell. She expected me to be working downstairs but wouldn't give me a desk. My office was upstairs and whenever I would go upstairs she would run to the director acting like she couldn't find me or I was late. She was even telling other staff that she was going to fire me. I did everything for the company. I did everyones work. For 3 months I was trying to transfer but she wouldn't forward my transfer papers to hr. I contacted hr but they never got back to me. Then one day I got in like 5 minutes late. She fired me. She was a witch.
I loved my job...what can I do? My co-workers even wrote hr a letter asking them to re-think my termination. They expressed what good worker I was and how my supervisor had it in for me. But I was unsuccessful.
I honestly want nothng more than my job back. Is their any legal action I can take to do this?

I would suggest that you get on with life and look for a better job. Your old job is not worth it if there are mean people around you. And why would you want to go back to hell. Open your doors and windows and look beyond for fresher air.

After the fact? It'll be tough. And I'm doubtful you'll be rehired. You might be able to sue for wrongful termination, but it's doubtful that you'd win and you'd incure a lot of added expense.

While you had the job you should have gone directly to HR yourself and when they didn't reply with in a week, go back to them and haunt them every week until something was done.

You could have also gone to the person above this evil supervisor and state there was an issue.

I was working for a radiostation when one of our salesmen got promoted to desk job. After 8 months he really hated working there so the GM moved him back to a sales position but he still got a bump in pay and a company car as were perks of his first promotion.

He was happy, and good at, being a salesman. Once the person with the power to do something about it became aware of it, they moved him to where he would best be utilized by the company.

Something similar might have happened to you.

Also, you should have check as to if she had the power to fire you. She might have needed authorization from somwon higher than herself.

depends on your jurisdiction, what grounds were given for termination, how long it has been... several factors. you need to sit down with a labor attorney in your jurisdiction.
