i want to become a real estate agent, is it worth it?

I would say yes. I am in WA state and have known some sales agents. They tended to earn a lot of money if they were good. Things are still pretty good in the greater Seattle area but slower than last year. Make sure you have 6-12 month living expenses set aside since commissions are slow and irregular. They also charge the agents desk space and MLS fees so it will cost you every month if you have sales or not so hard to wait 2-3 months or more for your first commission even if you sell something the first month you are working.
Make sure you are self driven since you need to keep making phone calls and setting up appointments or doing open houses you might not enjoy.
