Well, I have a Samsung 940MW LCD TV monitor. My problem is that when I use it as an HD TV with my Xbox 360 in 1080i, there is a white pixel which appears only against a dark enough background. The thing is, there are no pixel problems when the screen is being used with the PC. I also switched the 360 to Standard TV mode (ie non-HD) and the white pixel is nowhere to be found. It's the same case for running it 720p... Obviously, I'd much rather play in 1080i. I've never heard of a problem like this before and I haven't been able to correct the pixel using any of the techniques I've researched.
Also, there is sometimes a green stuck pixel which appears but I can get rid of this by turning the monitor and 360 off at the same time.... I'm not sure if that's what's actually causing it to disappear, but it seems to work. Anyway, this white pixel is annoying me greatly and all help is appreciated!

Odd!

It does not sound like it is a stuck pixel.

A couple of thoughts.

For 1080 the monitor has to down scale the image. It might be some sort of artifact from that.

Or, it might be a memory defect in the Xbox-360. For 1080 it is going to be using more video memory, and there might be a bad bit in the area that is used for 1080, but not for 720.

It would be interesting to see what happens with an alternative 1080i source for the monitor, or a true 1080 display with the X-box.
