I have never been on a roller coaster before, but really want to. I was wondering which one at Busch Gardens Williamsburg has the least thrill? I wanted to start a bit smaller because I'm SO scared to get on one. I've heard the Big Bad Wolf and the Lochness aren't too bad compared to the others (in terms of height, drops, speed, etc.) Does anyone have any experience on any of these? How about the other rides like Da Vinci's Cradle? Thanks so much!

All of the coasters at Busch Gardens are fun, but if you're scared, I'd try Big Bad Wolf first. There's nothing to it really. It's a swinging coaster, which means the track is over you, and you're sitting in a car under the track. There are only 2 lift hills and 2 drops. The rest of the ride is nothing but getting swung around the tight twists and turns. The last drop is the best, it's over the lake.

Loch Ness Monster isn't too bad, but it might be terrifying to someone who's never been on a coaster. There are two loops (you go upside down), and a pretty long tunnel (3 helix turns long), the rest is a few hills. It's very short though.

Apollo's Chariot is by far one of the best coasters around. There's no loops, only hills, but very fast hills.

Alpengeist is fun, but over the years my equilibrium has decided it no longer likes Alpie, so now I don't ride it as much. It's a very intense ride, lots of loops and drops. It'll shake you up quite a bit.

And their newest coaster, Griffon, is sweet. There's not much to it, only 2 loops and the drop on the first hill. You actually dangle over the crest of the first hill, and stare straight down. Pretty scary. But it's fun. My boss and another friend from work rode it together (after debating for 30 minutes) and they both loved it!

I've only been on Da Vinci's Cradle once. There's not a lot to it. It's a flat ride that sort of rotates back and forth. I got a little dizzy on it and haven't been on it since. But I do know a lot of people who love it.

Since you've never been on a coaster, I'd suggest either taking, or at least bringing, with you, Dramamine. It's a motion sickness pill. It'll help you to not get so sick on the various rides. It works great. The only drawback is you get sleepy on it.

The Big Bad Wolf and Lochness aren't bad at all. Just don't go on Alpengeist, Apollo's Chariot, or Griffon if you're scared. DaVinci's Cradle is really fun! If you're scared of moving backwards a little then don't get on but last time i went in July, there were 5 year olds getting on that ride so it's probably one of the easiest rides to get on. After you have been on a rollercoaster once you'll be fine! As long as your not by yourself you'll enjoy the rollercoasters! I suggest you go on Davinci's cradle first. Then if you're comfortable with that, go on Big Bad Wolf. After that you'll be able to get on any rollercoaster except for maybe Griffon. Hope this helps!

Big Bad Wolf, almost definitely. It's a very fun little coaster, that provides thrills, but won't leave you woozy. Loch Ness, on the other hand, is a very intense and overall uncomfortable ride. Positive G's can be overwhelming for first time riders, so if you do decide to move up, you might be better off trying another ride, although their other three coasters are all bigger thrill rides. It's up to you, but I highly recommend doing Big Bad Wolf first.

Trust me i the big bad wolf and i had a bad experence of the lochness monster. If your scared don't ride Griffon even though that ride was awesome. The water rides aren't bad and apilo's chariot isn't bad either.Da Vinci's Cradle is fun. Corkscrew Hill was good but if you get dizzy eaisly don't ride it. Escape to Dar Kastle is another good one but i say hit that in the morning and aviod a two hour wait.

Big bad wolf is defiantly the smallest. it provides a great thrill for people that have never been on a coaster. but trust me, you probably will want to go on Apollo's chariot, alpie, and griffon. I know this because I know a lot of people that were scared to death of coasters, rode one, and now love them. big bad wolf is a great coaster to start on. but, the people I know that now love coasters like I said before, some of them, Apollo's chariot was there first coaster. or storm runner at Hershey park. that is the best, scariest, funnest. almost the smoothest coasters ever created. hope this helps!

The roller coaster at Busch Gardens are scarier in my opinion. I've rode the roller coasters at both places.

big bad wolf.
it's fun though.
if you can handle that, maybe wait a half hour then try another one.
good luck!
i haven't been there since davinci's cradle was made, though.

oh, and if you get hot, go on "Escape from Pompei". it's just what it sounds like.. there's no flips or anything, it's only like 2 minutes, and the scariest thing is just a big hill at the end, and you get splashed.
