No resources like money and family or friends. And the man usually doesn't want them to leave. Even when they know she isn't happy. A woman feels like she in prison so to speak. Because he knows she has no resources to pull on. Been there done this. BTW there is always another guy that does find and does respect you. Then the jerk loses out anyway. What goes around comes around.

I think self esteem plays a part in the reason why women stay with men that aren't necessarily good for them. The "fixer" aspect of some women might play a part as well. They can fix the problem and then everything will be fine. This all changes though when children are involved, then it complicates everything and I have to give it to those women, my mom was one, and they put up with a lot of crap to keep their family together.
You probably want to know why I personally stay in touch with someone that makes me miserable at times...and for that you'll have to IM me, because it is a very long complicated story. In short there are good things that I love, we both seem to be having a hard time calling it quits or getting back together, etc. It's complicated. And if I were a child I think I would have an easier time with it all, I would think as hard.......

I dont think anyone logically thinks hmm let me find the worst guy ever for me so I can miserable but women are emotional and often feel attatched even when they are not happy. Then there are those who feel that if they just care enough bad guy will become better....it's those darn disney movies!

Its much easier to stay then leave! Sometimes it not just about you. There are children and money involved and its not easy to just pack up and move on especially when you have invested your entire life in this person who you actually deep down dont love or want to be with!

Because sometimes its easier than leaving and I wouldn't want to hurt my children and when I got married I meant it and I figure it'll work itself one day.
