No, I don't think that Michael Jackson is ashamed of being black. I think that he had developed a skin disease which completely covered his body. Remember when he started wearing that one glove on his hand. The disease could have started with his hand until it had completed it's course. I'm sure that he wasn't comfortable with a skin disease. None of us would be. This disease turns your skin very white. And sometimes to even it out, other creames has to be used sometimes. He can't change his color back to the beautiful brown that he was. I kind of grew up admiring Mr Jackson. He was so handsome the way he was. But nothing stays the same with any of us. Our features will change and in some cases for the worst. Michael has to face his own demons just as we do. There is none of us that is perfect. My problem may not be his and his problem may not be mine but we all have them whether they are skeletons in the closet or not! He is not alone in his appearance change. There are millions of people in this world that is not comfortable with the way they look. Many want to be just the opposite of what God made them to be. You see, we are never satisfied. Yes, there are some strange things going on with Michael but that should be a fimiliar spirit because we see it all the time. Let us pray for Michael that he may live a normal life. If we could take the time to examine ourselves, we then probably find some of the same flaws in ourselves that Michael is struggling with, but yet we try to pretend that we have not similiar problems and target Michael. It's a price to pay when you run after fame.

I don't think he was ashamed of being black, I think he was ashamed of being Michael Jackson!

Actually, there is such a disease, I've seen it many times. It's really ugly with different blotches of different colored skin.

He probably had the disease and then altered his skin cosmetically all the way to be just the lighter color.

Still doesn't explain the nose though.

Maybe he's ashamed of being human.

The disease is called Vitiligo. Th treatment for it is skin bleaching to return the skin to one color. Most people either leave it bleached or wear makeup to darken the skin. My uncle had it and just left it blotchy. A friend also had it and bleached her skin. Most women will wear the makeup but the men will either leave it bleached or leave it blotchy.

I'm not sure if Michael was ashamed of being black. I know he was pretty good looking when Thriller came out, nothing to be ashamed fo there. But, I tell ya what, he sure has some kind of resentment toward his nose. Yikes!

He's not ashamed of being black he's just an eccentric nut case. He would probably color his body pink if he could. He also permanent makeup on his lips and eyes. So is he ashamed of being a man? One thing he's not ashamed of is "loving the children"

Perhaps, but mainly Michael Jackson was ashamed to look like his father, who had many an abusive moment with his children.

Maybe...

Actually, I don't think it was a black thing. But I DO know that his father would degrade him, and pester him about how big his nose used to be. So he slowly and sadly changed it.

I feel so bad for him. I don't think I'd look in the mirror much if I were him!

(thanks lucky stars above for not being poor, poor super-starred out Michael)

Perhaps a mental disease where you are ashamed of your own race or skin color. I saw it on TV...

don't believe he has a skin disease? check this out:

He is proud to be a black american. It wasn't a choice, it wasn't like he woke up one day and was like, "God, please give me vitiligo so that I look weird and people make fun of me for wanting to be white."
