I agree with you, the EU in my view has messed this country up. I hear alot of them are criminals and rapists but we do not know. I think its quiet scary they can come here without being checked.

Because this is the age of the computer and the language used is English. So, those migrants are trying to reach a nation which speaks that language. The UK has fallen under the "siren call" of the other EU members who thought it might be a great idea to afford unlimited entry of "asylum seekers" without realizing these folks were actually economic migrants, not those seeking asylum. Now the entire demographic makeup is shifting. Strange people from somewhere else, giving rise to the fortunes of anti-immigrant parties in all of the affected countries. If this keeps up they might have to give a posthumous knighthood to Enoch Powell.

We need immigrants! They keep our economy afloat and provide us with a more rich multi-cultural society. Ok, you will respond by sating 'yeah but some of them are leeching money of our country', but this is only a minority, and besides what about the home grown ones?
immigration is good. The End.

Hmm.... the continent is still cut off from Britain.
Anyone from any EU country can reside in any other EU country. These people are known as dirty Johnny Foreigner. Unless they are nice middle class types off to Little Britain in Spain, in this case they are known as brave expats. Hope that helps.

it doesn't. most of them are checked, and th EU allows freedom of movement of people, within set limits
but the cost of housing the illegal one's, probably prevents money pouring money int o the correct channels that combat the problems incurred with processing immigrants
