Why are informal methods are used more often than formal amendments?? i've researched everywhere. Can someone plz HELP me

There is no such thing as 'informal methods' to amend a constitution. Any attempt to change a constitution without using the formal amendment procedure violates the constitution. Unfortunately, in the US, both the Congress and the Supreme Court often chose to ignore the Constitution.
