MGS 3: I need Help Beating the End.?

I'm just wondering if there's a better way of beating the end instead of just running around and then just wait for him to sneak up on you....hoo..hoo.hoo so if there is anyone that help me find a better solution give me a hand you have my thanks.

The End was one of my favorite bosses.
(Make sure to read the very last paragraph in case you don't wan't to read all of what I wrote or unless you just can't beat him)
When I beat The End this is what I did:

I ran around the entire map to reveal the entire battle area, that way I would get a good idea of the area and would have all of the paths avaliable for me to see when I pulled up the map and to look at all of The Ends sniping position icons when they show up on the map.

Then I tracked down The End by using the Microphone to listen for his snoring or breathing. You can also use the thermal googles to track his footprints if you manage to sneak up on him. But when it rains or if the footprints have been on the ground for a while then they will disappear. Also, if you use the regular goggles to zoom in to locate him, look for a small flashing white light that is located on The End's headset.

After The End takes more sniping positions, you will be able too see more of his sniping positions on the map. The End can be found at one of the sniping positions.



Once you track down The End shoot him as many times as you can and then take out your thermal googles and follow him. If all or most his sniping positions are on the map then tracking him is pretty easy because usually he will run to the closest sniping position that is in the direction of where he is running toward.

Once you get a good idea of which sniping position The End is running toward on the map continue to follow his foot prints. Whenever you get near one of the sniping positions take out the microphone and listen for his breating. Then just sneak up on him and shoot him.

There are times when his footprints might not show up because of the rain or for other reasons and you might lose track of him, when this happens, walk towards some of his sniping positions by using the map to locate them and point the directional microphone toward the sniping positions to listen for his breathing.

I don't want too sound complicated so I think that I'll stop here. I could go on and on for a long time telling you how to beat him. These were some good tips to help you beat him.

There is a much easier way to beat him though... but it isn't the same as beating him on your own though, but I'll tell you anyway. If you are playing MGS 3 on a PS2, set the system clock to several years ahead of what it already is and then start the game up and then when the battle with The End starts he should be dead because he died of old age. I haven't tried this at all, I beat him by sneaking up on him and shooting him the normal way, but I saw this "cheat" online on many websites.

if you want his camo and gun this is what you do you get sprit camo if you have it or another good one and equip the anti personal sesnor and try to get a signal and when you do you take it off and switch to thermal goggles and sneak behind him and point your shot gun or m63 at him the shot gun is better the first times he will say no but just keep the gun moveing up and down near his head then he will give you his camo then shoot him with the traq gun and switch to his camo then just follow is foot steps with the thermal goggles

either do what your doing

or equip your thermo goggles and follow his footsteps

or pull out yourmicrophone when you think he's nearby and listen for his labored breathing

or pull out your sniper and your thermo goggles and shoot him down.

or wait until he shoots you and see which way snakes body faces to determine where the end is shooting from

If you have claymores, i haven't persnally tested this, but i think it's possible to set them up and let run into it.

or you can run around randomly until you find him and shoot him and chase him
