The reason I need some kind of schedule is because I have a five year old that has singing and swimming lessons through out the week. My baby does not take naps if not in his crib, and is very hard for me to take him anywhere because he wont sleep and gets extremely fussy

Why would a three month old need a schedule? Pay attention to his cues- he probably already has a predictable pattern to his day. You can adapt from there.

Schedule for what ??

If is for a day.. Don't let your baby sleep late wake him/ her up around 8 or 9 latest feed him/her .. change clothes spend some time with baby and around 11 let baby sleep as much as baby wants until baby wakes up because is hungry.... then if baby is asleep around 6 or 7pm wake baby up for at least 2 hours and if possible by 9 or 9:30 set baby to sleep so baby can get used to this rutine..if this is what you are talking about..and you will see that later on baby wil stay awake more time and his schedule will change a little .. good luck !!

Why do you need to put him on a schedule? At that age, he's still getting used to the world he lives in and only cries when he needs something. If he's crying that means he needs something. I'm sure if you examined it close enough you'd see he already has his own biological schedule, you just want to change it to match yours. The first months are rough, but you really shouldn't try to schedule a baby that age.

Until about 6 months you really cannot get a baby on a schedule.

that's a little young to get into a sleeping schedule since they are going through so many growth spurts they may need to sleep a lot more one day than others. same with a feeding schedule. but if you want to try it out you need to get an average amount of food he eats and an average of how far apart the feedings are. then the next day figure out when it would be suitable to feed him and give him a little bit more than he would usually eat. try 5 oz feedings every 3-4 hours. if he gets hungry before go ahead and feed him since he isnt used to it. that's the best i can give you. good luck :)

check outg for few days at time the baby feels to play and take its feed accordingly you can schdule his sleeping time as if the tummy is full and is somewhat tired after playing tan he will fall asleep quickly and take a longer sleep than normal this may some how change your schedule but if adjust your work in his sleep hrs than you can get time for him to play with and aldo some good amount of time to take rest after a good sleep when the child is playing you finish off with your household chores and get free to again feed the baby. hope this may help you to certain extent

Any child under 2 cannot be made to adhere to a set schedule.. you will be lucky if you can get them to do it at age 3!!
