Replace your standard bulbs with LED bulbs. LED bulbs use less energy than standard bulbs and you car will flash like a bulb is out.

The blinking is done in one of two ways: either a heat switch where the blink rate is set by the current through the switch, so the rate changes with load or a small electronic signal running a relay, where is doesn't change with load.
If you have the former and can get a flasher for a truck, which has more lights, it will blink faster with the lighter load on your vehicle. The electronic timer can not be adjusted as far as I know. You could, in either case, change the wiring and build a small flasher circuit using a 555 timer and 12 volt relay from Radio Shack.

Either burn out one of your lights because my stupid dodge truck does that when the light goes out or is disconnected, or you can get a new cartridge for it, im not sure what its called but its like a metal instrument that goes into your electronics area to tell the lights to flash

Check with speedway motors on the internet. They have some variable speed flasher controllers. Good luck flashing-your lights that is!

Ask Auto place like autozone if available.
This would be simple to build if you were into electronics.
A 555 timer , FET switch! (make variable!)
