Seriously, why do people want to fight all the time?

We CAN get along.
The illusion that we can't get along is fostered and fomented by factions of greed and power.

Those factions believe in a "zero-sum" game, in which someone must lose in order for them to win. They are wrong.

We all survive better when everyone cooperates for mutual self-interest... a POSITIVE SUM game.

Logic, game-theory, science and THE FACT of EVOLUTION ALL prove this.

Frightening specters of war and violence are intentionally perpetrated by "those-in-the-know" and those would dominate us as witless slaves.

The illusion of eternal opposition is believed ONLY by people who are uninformed.

Such illusions are promulgated every day on television and in the news... even in supposedly rational open forums such as Yahoo Answers.

People who falsely believe in this illusion or those who intentionally promote it are confused, fearful, ignorant and selfish.

Do not let them fool you.

We CAN get along, survive and prosper!

By the time I'm wrote this on, some of the answer contributers were NOT getting along with this. It's the most basic example that can be found, just in front of your naked eye! Sad huh?

Everyone has their own cup of tea, and not to mention the coffee! :) Even you and I surely have different types of food to consumed, different clothes, different this, different that, bla bla bla... Ok, thats straight to the line.

If I asked you "Why can't people understand each other?", seems simple, but yet the answers would be rather too general and that proved everyone can't get along UNLESS they were forced to. Just look nowadays, where the powerful just kept on oppressing the weaklings, and the weaklings just followed their 'this' and 'that'... What is the outcome?

:)

I think it is a hold over from more primitive times. we are competitive by nature. just look at the recent scientific studies done concerning attractive people. we can't stop looking, weather we are looking for a mate, or sizing up the competition. it is an innate drive to compete. whenever you have competition, you are going to have people who are not happy. That I believe is just the ground level cause. There are other reasons, but that applies to everyone.

A lot of people feel better with fights. They relax them. I mean it. They fight sometimes for stupid reasons and they enjoy it! The problem is that other people get upset because they don't want to listen to the screams everyday. And they have right. Personal exp

I don't think its that people WANT to fight all the time I know I never fight (unless hubby nicks the TV remote while I'm making HIS coffee) I would guess it goes back to cavemen thou and all that clubbing each other. It gave them brain damage and its just become genetic in some people (that's a joke in case someone missed it)

The source of our problems is disunity.
The solution is unity on a planetary scale.
This can be achieved if we adopt new paradigms and abandon old and obsolete concepts that belong to the past.
A new paradigm for example, is to consider the world as just one country and mankind it's citizen.
Another paradigm is to eliminate all kinds of prejudices, racial, religious, of gender, and social class, from our minds.

It's a holdover from more primitive evolutionary times in which the strongest survived to breed and the weaker ones were killed off.

The world is a terrible place, and as long as there is something to have an opinion about, there will be different opinions, and if there are different opinions then there will be fighting. Think about it.
