My husband and I will be taking a trip to San Francisco over New Year's Eve. Since we spend a lot of time apart during the year, we'd like to make the evening special. Any suggestions for dinner and possibly a masquerade ball? I can't seem to find any sites by searching!

soscilito is a gorgeous town across the bridge. It looks a lot like italy. It's amazing there and there is a great italian restaurant called poggio! it has great food. You can also check out fisherman's wharf in san fran. I'm sure there will be a lot of activity going on down there and of course ghiradelli square for great dessert! have a good time there!

what you should do is call around to the different hotels in that area and speak with either the f/d staff or the concierge of the hotel to see what may be going on around that time... theres not better recomendation that a LOCAL one..
