A 30% sugar solution is only 70 % water.

So the solution is hypertonic for the cell.
More water will diffuse out of the cell than the amount of water that diffuses into the cell. The cell's contents will shrink.

Osmosis will occur.
As the concentration of sugar is greater outside the cell, water from inside it, will move down a concentration gradient, into the solution. This will cause the cell to become flaccid.
