The U.S. constitution was created over 200 years ago.

The world has changed drastically since that time. For example, technology and racial mindsets.

Should a diverse panel of the most intelligible figures in the U.S. sit down in a room for a few months and rewrite the constitution?

Also, if you think it should be rewritten... what would be included or excluded today?

In YOUR opinion...

NO WAY!

A diverse panel?

The English/Americans who wrote our constitution got it right the first time. We don't need a 'DIVERSE' group of anyone messing with our constitution.

You're right. Although I really really like the US Constitution (compared to others) it can be better.
But (there's always a but) it's not the time to do that.
First, the Constitution has to be respected and enforced.
Without that, it's going to be changed on the wrong direction.
Today, there's only one presidential candidate who knows and respect the Constitution, Ron Paul. I heard some of the others and it's hard to believe how little they know it and how little they care for it.

NO! But the way that the North American Union is being shoved ahead it already IS! Look at the bills that Bush has touted since 9/11. DHS is not Constitutional and when Chertoff makes comments like sending memos with “. . . ongoing action and reporting in the various . . . working groups led by DHS should now [be] driven by a single agenda: the SPP.”

Leave it as is. There's too much media and big money in politics. The brilliance of the constitution is that it was written with a certain amount of forsight, maybe not this much forsight but those guys definitely planned for the worst possible scenarios of tyranny and corruption.

No, what makes it so brillant is that it is timeless. It still works 200 years later. Besides if today's politicians tried to rewrite it, it would be 20,000 pages long and would never pass if voted on. Too many agendas at play today.

No, it just appears to not be working because it is not being used. No, it says all men created equal, unless you want to give more to minorities.

Trashing the Constitution is one of the communist goals.
