Fruits are sprayed with water to keep them looking plump and fresh. If water leaves the cells of the fruit, the fruit will start to look soft and not as appealing.

The water sprayed on the fruit has a higher concentration of water than the concentration of water inside the cells of the fruit. So more water will diffuse into the cells of the fruit than the amount of water that diffuses out of the cell. The water is a hypotonic solution for the fruit cells.

I guess you could say that the fruit cells are hypertonic to the water, but it's usually done the other way around, comparing the surrounding solution with the inside of the cell.
