Hi there !
Yes, of course...
It is the desire...the optimistic feeling that inspite of all the sufferings we are undergoing today, there is a brighter tomorrow, awaiting us....the feeling that..
"yesterday was bright....
today is more brighter....and
tomorrow is going to be brightest...."

After all it is this optimism that is leading the whole world ahead....agree ?

best wishes !

As a devout planner, I can tell you that the purpose of planning is to build the discipline and the process to achieve the final result. In other words, planning is a means to an end and not an end in itself. From a plan you will have to come up with the required steps to reach your desired goals. You will account for the likely obstacles and likely friends and foes in your effort. You will set up deadlines and key milestones to measure your effort by. Finally you will start working on those key milestones and ticking these off the list. You will be forced to take alternative routes if your assumptions were wrong.

But just having a plan without follow up steps is like sitting at a river and waiting for the fish to fall in to your lap for dinner.

I think it's human nature. Because we are smart, but there's so much we don't know (like what will happen in the future) we do what we can to shape the world into what we want.

When it comes down to it, what will happen will happen whether we like it or not. It's just nice to know that if I had things my way, this is what I would want.

Sidenote - If everyone let the world just happen and no one ever planned on anything, we would never accomplish anything. Planning is basically questioning. You are asking yourself "What am I going to do?" so you make a plan. Without questioning we wouldn't be human, therefore if we didn't plan anything, we wouldn't be human either. We'd just be another animal living off of our basic instincts.

I still keep planning because what kind of life do you have when you don't have some kind of goals. Have you ever tried to live your life w/o having a goal in mind? You think to yourself what is the point of getting out of bed. You think to yourself why am I even alive. Life happens...and you may not get to accomplish some of your plans when you wanted to, but when you do, it's the best feeling ever.

Napoleon said "No battleplan survives contact with the enemy". You still need a baseline of planning so plan B becomes more apparent when needed. Plan C will be right behind and visible if you have a baseline plan.
